argumentative

well, i was just thinking of what to blog, suddenly it flashed to me about being argumentative.
well, the other day i was just browsing and saw one of the reviews on bbc.co.uk about a book by the great Amartya Sen( nobel prize winner). its called "The Argumentative Indian". the next day i went and purchased the book. As i am reading this book, i am already getting a sense that my mind got ignited about being argumentative.

We all study history in our elementary and maticulation level education with just by-hearting different battles( and their dates) and things like that. After reading that, i started viewing the history with a different perspective. I really feel great being Indian as i truly started understanding how intellectual and how argumentative our ancestors were.

Well i am getting littel deep here( sorry for being philosophical to some extent!!!). i started understanding how 'being argumentative' will help in building better society where everything is accepted by all by reasoning.

I was just wondering so what the hell it takes to be argumentative. i guess its all about questioning the "status quo'' or dont accept anything without being justified by yourself. i think we can refine our society to make it more practical with our argumentative mind.

if we just glance thru the history,

we find Mahatma who with arguments convinced British that it is the right of every Indian to rule himself for the rest of future.

we find vivekananda who with his arguments enlightened indians and rest of the world about spiritual world and intricacies of actual Hinduism.

It also raises questions like as time changes, does the ideal also keep changing. Are buddha's teachings still relevent today even after more than 2000 years. Well, I think that the fundamental principles of being "human" wont change. i think it will still hold good and it holds good forever

i guess i am giving some food for thought.. think about it... see you... will be back with more interesting blog... thanks for reading
